The way we were

The family DNA is a 3D piling of mussy building materials over a long time.  It is a very complex thing but also thinkers, practitioners, innovations continuously at input to this pile.

During a learning session for me how to sell on the e-Bay site, my grand child (adult, a highly motivated focused engineer) asked me why my eldest brother, I, and my father did have different surnames! Isn’t is surprising?

My father’s last name (UKM) means he was a leader of the keepers of the  Northern border of India, in the State of Rajstan more specifically current state of Jaipur.  The first map (on the left), in the picture below, shows the route our ancestors’ south-eastward migration (from the state of Rajstan (on the right map) to Jajpur in the state of Odisha), journey of 1,671.km (1,038.3 miles). In those days the only way was to walk or ride bullock carts.

My eldest brother’s last name, B-Sing means a great fighter in line to adapt the surname (last name) of UKM after demise of my father and the family names are to be continuously recycled.

The last names of the rest of the family names, after this immediate family,  surnames  are to continue as Ghadei.
